This week we are going to finish up our presentations on personality disorders, complete a therapy project, and start learning about Dissociative Identity Disorder, formerly referred to as Multiple Personality Disorder.

Personality disorders - project

Personality Disorders Research Project

Each student will research the following criteria for their selected personality disorder. Please be sure to use reliable sources. You may choose to create a power point, prezi or any other visual display of your disorder (how about a pamphlet or a poster board?). You will be required to present your disorder to the class.
1) symptoms / how it presents itself
2) prevalence / causes
3) how do theorists/ therapists explain the disorder
4) treatment
5) examples in popular culture (films, tv, art, etc...)

Carmen - you have a choice of: Schizoid / Schizotypal, Antisocial or Avoidant
