1) read the NYT article and the "A Silent Epidemic" article found to your right under Documents.
2) Type one page that shares your thoughts and reactions to these articles.
- After reading the articles, summarize the main idea of the article in three sentences or less. This should communicate to your audience what the article is generally about and it answers the question, " Why is this significant?" Your summary should be its own separate paragraph.
- For the remainder of your paper, consider these questions (though you you not have to answer them):
- What are the strengths and weaknesses of the text?
- What did you find surprising or interesting?
- Do these articles relate to one another? Do the author agree/disagree? Address different aspects of an issue?
